Leisure & Adventure Parkview is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for packing, preparing and organising products and materials for shipment or storage while helping to maintain a clean, safe and organised store environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for placing products neatly onto shelves while ensuring correct arrangement and spacing. Products must be inspected before packaging to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
The position also involves counting products to confirm that orders are accurate and complete, making adjustments where necessary, and assisting with inventory records by documenting packed quantities.
Employees will be expected to report any stock shortages, discrepancies, defects or damaged products to their supervisors. Items that do not meet the required specifications should be identified and rejected.
Packaging materials such as boxes, containers and bags must be prepared according to the required specifications. Candidates will also be responsible for ensuring that packaging materials are clean, undamaged and suitable for the products being packed.
Packaged products must be labelled accurately with relevant information such as product names, barcodes, expiration dates and batch numbers.
The successful candidate will also help maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the shop, including cleaning equipment and disposing of packaging waste responsibly.
All safety procedures must be followed, including the correct use of personal protective equipment where required. The role also involves working closely with colleagues, supervisors and other departments to coordinate packing activities and meet operational targets.
Candidates are expected to maintain accuracy and consistency in their work, communicate effectively with team members and assist in resolving challenges to ensure a smooth workflow.
Desired Experience and Qualifications
Applicants should have good physical strength and stamina as the position may involve physical work. A high school qualification or equivalent is required.
Previous experience working in a retail environment would be beneficial. Candidates should have strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
