Receptionist / Administrator – Medical Practice (Benoni)
A well-established medical practice based in Benoni is seeking a professional, friendly, and organised Receptionist / Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and will assist in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
Salary: Negotiable, based on experience
Working Hours:
Monday – Friday: 07:00 – 16:30
Saturday: 08:00 – 13:00
Key Responsibilities
Reception Duties:
Welcoming and assisting patients in a professional and friendly manner
Answering and directing incoming telephone calls
Booking and confirming patient appointments
Managing patient check-ins and check-outs
Handling patient queries and providing basic information about the practice
Maintaining a clean and organised reception area
Administrative Duties:
Capturing and updating patient information on the practice management system
Assisting with medical aid and patient billing administration
Filing and maintaining patient records and documentation
Processing emails and general correspondence
Assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks within the practice
Liaising with doctors, staff, and patients to ensure efficient workflow
Requirements
Previous reception or administrative experience (medical practice experience will be advantageous)
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time management abilities
Computer literacy and ability to work with administrative systems
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment
