Discovery is inviting unemployed South African applicants to apply for its 2026/2027 Learnership Programme. The programme provides learners with an opportunity to gain practical workplace experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification in the short-term insurance industry.

Learnership Programme

Successful candidates will gain exposure to the insurance industry and develop practical workplace skills while completing the learnership programme.

Requirements

Applicants must have a Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics at a minimum Level 4, which is 50% or higher. English must also be at least Level 4 with a minimum mark of 50%. Applicants who completed Mathematics Literacy must have achieved Level 5, which is 60% or higher. A second language, such as a home language, must be at least Level 4 with a minimum of 50%.

Applicants must be South African citizens by birth and currently unemployed. Candidates must not have completed a tertiary qualification and must not be studying during the learnership period. Applicants should also have no formal work experience and must not be involved in any post-Matric studies.

Candidates who have previously completed a learnership are not eligible to apply.
