Job Description:
Our client is seeking a skilled welder to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for
welding frames, shelves, and components for mobile water purification systems, as well as assisting
with the welding of trailers. If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for metalwork and a

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality welding on frames and shelves for mobile systems using various
    welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick).
  • Assist in welding and fabricating trailer components to meet safety and durability standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and
    procedures.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of welds and materials to ensure compliance with quality
    standards.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to
    specifications.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve welding skills and techniques.

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

  • Matric or equivalent; technical welding certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years’ work experience after qualification (Post apprenticeship)
  • Proven experience as a welder, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
  • Proficient in MIG and Stick welding techniques.
  • Strong understanding of welding safety practices and standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be medically fit
  • Driver’s licence – Preferable Code C1 or higher
  • Must be willing to work shifts and standby.

Salary: Market related
