Job Description
We are seeking to appoint an experienced florist to manage a floral counter in our stores.
You should be able to demonstrate accurate, updated knowledge about flowers’ nutritional requirements and craft robust packaging solutions to avoid preventable breakages.
Responsibilities:
· Maintain store cleanliness and tidiness.
· Receiving stock and then snipping and displaying the flowers in store
· Topping up watering solutions to enhance the lifespan of the flowers
· Advising customers on possible flower combinations and colours
· Providing occasion-specific flower suggestions.
· Designing, arranging and displaying bouquets in stores for purchase.
· Packaging customers flowers to prevent breakages.
· Coordinating flower deliveries.
Requirements:
· At least 3 years of experience in a flower shop
· Knowledgeable about flower handling techniques.
· Strong knowledge about a wide range of floral designs, flowers, foliage along with seasonable availability
· Able to create visually appealing flower arrangements for all occasions
· Ability to nourish, combine, and affix flowers and pertinent accessories.
· Able to use design and display strategies to maximise sales
· Able to keep up to date with the latest floral trends and introduce in store
· Approachable, patient, and forthcoming.
· Excellent verbal communication skills.
· Basic computer literacy
· Completion of a Floral Design course is highly advantageous.
